David Francey is a Scottish-born Canadian carpenter-turned-songwriter, and is one of Canada's most revered folk poets. For decades, he worked across Canada in railyards, construction sites, and in the Yukon bush, all the while writing poetry and setting it to melodies in his head. In his 40s, David shared his songs with others. The reaction was instant. His first album Tom Screen Door was a hit. Since then, he has released 11 albums and won three JUNO Awards.
